PRIDE WEEK TORONTO

Pride Week Toronto

Pride Week Toronto

Pride Week is a huge bash held in Toronto the last week of June. The annual celebration, which honors the diversity of the LGBT community and its supporters, is one of the largest Pride festivals in the world. Although called Pride Week, the event actually spans 10 days and nights, with famous events such as the Dyke March, Pride Prom, a three-day Pride Street Festival, and of course, the Pride Parade. With smashing attendance and festivities that just don't quit, this nearly 30-year-old citywide event is regarded as the largest cultural festival in North America, and a party not to be missed.

Also, starting in 2006, the "new" gay neighborhood, Queen West Toronto (the QWT), puts on an alternative celebration, Queer West Fest Toronto. There is no parade, but Queer West Fest offers entertainment and events at many gay-friendly venues in the area.
