LUNAR NEW YEAR

Lunar New Year - Toronto Hotels .com

Lunar New Year

As one of the largest Chinese Lunar New Year festivals in Canada, Toronto's three-day Asian cultural celebration offers entertainment, food, and art in early February. Most of the activities occur in the Automotive Building at Exhibition Place (home of the summer Canadian National Exhibition and located in Downtown's Chinatown).

The spectacular and largely kid-friendly entertainment includes magic shows, acrobatics, kung-fu showcases, feng-shui predictions, Chinese opera, and the boisterous drums and costumes of the lion dance. Visitors can also stroll around the contemporary arts exhibitions, craft tables, flower market, and lantern exhibit. The food market and cooking stage provide delicious Asian culinary treats.
