ABOUT TORONTO
For over 20 years, the Images Festival of Independent Film and Video in Toronto has been a host to innovative films, shorts, and video works by independent filmmakers from across Canada and around the world. Offered as a more cutting-edge, indie alternative to the Toronto International Film Festival, the Images Festival also includes installations, live performances, digital art, and multimedia work as part of its month-long exhibition. The festival features new works by emerging artists as well as retrospectives of established independent filmmakers, and it is well known for its curatorial risk-taking and multicultural breadth.
The Images Festival takes place in a variety of venues in Toronto's West End district, including movie theaters, art galleries, theaters, clubs, and the HarbourFront Centre.
