ATTRACTIONS
If there was ever one destination that die-hard hockey fans absolutely must visit, it would be Toronto's Hockey Hall of Fame. It is housed in the former headquarters of the Bank of Montreal, located between Brooksfield Place and Yonge Street. The building's regal, Greco-Roman style architecture suits the Hall of Fame's theme perfectly. This is, after all, a pantheon of hockey heroes and legends. It contains the largest collection of hockey memorabilia in the world, from historic hockey masks to jerseys worn by hockey legends, and everything else in between.
There are also plenty of interactive events to partake in: the Be A Player Zone allows visitors to challenge themselves on the rink, and the Broadcast Zone gives fans the opportunity to call famous plays in hockey. The highlight of any visit, however, is the MCI Great Hall, which houses portraits and information about every inductee into the Hall of Fame. The Great Hall is also the home of the Stanley Cup, the mythic and massive trophy that has been competed for since 1892.
The Hall is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on Sunday, when it opens at 10:00 a.m.
