Located on the arbourside and overlooking Lake Ontario, the Redpath Sugar Museum is a unique treat for sweets-lovers and sugar-fiends or anyone who is curious. Opened in 1979 in a converted sugar factory, this recently renovated museum celebrates the Canadian sugar industry and the legacy of the Redpath family, Canada's most famous sugar moguls.
Guests can browse the museum's sugar memorabilia and educate themselves about Canada's intriguing sugar industry, which is a very large reason why the country is so prosperous in the current day. In addition to touring the museum, guests can also watch the museum's own feature film on the sugar industry, "Raising Cane." Perfect for a short day trip, the Redpath Sugar Museum has free admission, so you can treat yourself to an afternoon of education at no cost.
The museum is open on Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
